Ice Maiden
Our Poem
Ice Maiden, you hold the winter in your hand
On snow white steed with flowing mane you dance across the land.
Each child looks out on Christmas Eve to see snowflakes fall
For Jack Frost on their window pane has heard your mystic call.
Safe and warm they'll watch in awe as you quietly ride on by,
Their Christmas tree hides many toys with a fairy placed on high
And ribbon ties the mistletoe bedecked with silver bells
For those sheltered boughs of evergreen are untouched by your spel
Church bells break the silence and ring out crystal clear
With carols that since days of old we've held so very dear
And mirrored in the shades of blue that bring us peace and calm
The early light of Christmas morn reflects your icy charm.
