Snow Carriage

Our Poem

Village and meadow lie under a mantle of snow,
But peep behind doors to find a warm fireside glow,
A Christmas tree with candles alight,
Presents piled high with ribbons so bright,
People gather as church bells ring,
Carols are heard as children sing.
Snowmen to build after snowflakes fall,
A sledge on the heath, a giant snowball.
Flying hooves make little sound,
As pony and people are homeward bound.
And children will listen as the story is told,
Of that first Christmas Day in times of old.
