Cornish Pub Life

Our Poem

The Cornish Pub conjures up those days of old,
When Excise Men faced the Smugglers bold.
On the settles by the fire Locals sit and chat.
Dogs can warm there too when friendly with the cat.
Folklore and tales, time to reminisce.
Ambience and atmosphere are something not to miss
Fresh fish on the menu bring folk from afar,
With local brews being served across each busy bar.
Gardens full of flowers to sit on a Summers day,
Cosy nooks and shade where children love to play.
Fun and games, darts on a Winters eve,
Friendly Inns that are always hard to leave.
