Our Poem
Do you dream of freedom when the bridle checks your pace?
Wild horses in your blood, are they lost without a trace?
Or do you feel them coursing hotly through your veins
When ridden in the park or across the dusty plains?
Your noble head so oft with joy and pride portrayed
ls sometimes bowed with pain - you must then feel betrayed.
For many miles through war and peace we've travelled side by side
But behind that bold and gentle eye what secrets do you hide?
For your spirits on the hillside, beside the mountain stream
Where the breeze caresses treetops and lovers come to dream.
And there with dancing hooves you brush the morning dew
For when you gallop free at dawn there's no hand to chasten you.
